Emir Bukva
Designer
Originally hailing from Sarajevo, Bosnia, Emir came to the U.S. to study graphic design and indulge his inner-typophile. He's our go-to colleague for explaining sub-pixel anti-aliasing or the finer points of font measurement. A great fan of fine art and abstract expressionism in particular, Emir can often be spotted in a museum admiring the works of Clyfford Still, Brice Marden and Joan Miró.
Ever a fan of knowledge and discovery, Emir enjoys reading a variety of books, watching TED talks, and, of course, traversing Wikipedia. Like any good Jedi knight, Emir is used to patient, hard work to get a job done. And his main motivation in life is, well, Life!
Emir brings with him several years of client facing work in experience and interactive design in his role as Designer at MeYou Health. Prior to joining MeYou Health, he taught classes in graphic design and new media at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. Prior to that he co-founded Cidamon, a Web 2.0 company devoted to helping businesses establish a stable, aesthetically-pleasing online presence. His varied background and thorough work habits are what inform Emir’s approach to helping build MeYou Health's well-being products.
